Requiem Cabernet Sauvignon, Washington – $12 by Glass / $36 by Bottle
The nose shows oak, deep currant, and a just there spice note. The palate has a good presence to it with a hit of oak, some deep dark fruits and a pleasant spice note to finish. Requiem is a blend of grapes from sites across the Columbia Valley, including Walla Walla, Horse Heaven Hills, and Red Mountain. Each component is vinified separately and then undergoes a series of blending trials, looking for purity of fruit, complexity, and outstanding quality that consistently overperforms.
